Spotify - Music and Podcasts maintained its momentum with consistent revenue throughout the quarter, peaking at $4M in the last week. Downloads saw a mid-quarter dip to 4K but recovered to nearly 5K by the end of June. Weekly active users showed a steady increase from 663K to 678K.
Shazam: Find Music & Concerts, despite not generating revenue, experienced a fluctuation in downloads ranging from 2K to 2.4K and ended the quarter with an uptick at 2.1K. Active users varied, with a notable high of 198K in early May before settling around 187K.
YouTube Music exhibited an impressive revenue spike in late April at $76K, with total revenue oscillating between $50K and $75K for the rest of the quarter. Downloads remained fairly stable, hovering around 1.8K, and active users peaked at 220K in mid-May.
Amazon Music: Songs & Podcasts saw its revenue climb to over $25K by the quarter's end. The app's downloads presented a slight decrease in mid-quarter but bounced back to 1.1K. Weekly active users showed a growing trend from 33K to 33K.
Lastly, SoundCloud: Discover New Music generated revenue ranging from $8K to $11K, with a dip in mid-quarter. Downloads experienced minor fluctuations around the 1K mark. Active users reached a high of 183K in mid-May, later stabilizing to 165K.
